QA Engineer
Full-time Tashkent · hybrid
Description
We are building Nova, an AI assistant for bank employees. It has authentication, chat with history, knowledge-base search (RAG), OCR and speech recognition, and soon it will get tools that take actions in the bank's systems. You will test every release and set up the team's testing process. There isn't one yet.
The project has automated tests, but some are outdated and some critical scenarios aren't covered. You will find these gaps and decide what to automate first.
Responsibilities
- -Build and maintain a system map: pages, user scenarios, APIs, external services
- -Run a smoke test before every release and decide whether the release is ready
- -Test authentication, chat and history, OCR, STT and the web interface in Russian and Uzbek
- -Check the assistant's knowledge-base answers: are the sources correct, are there made-up facts, does it decline when there is no answer. Build and maintain a reference set of test questions
- -Check how the product behaves when external services are down: errors must be clear and must not expose internal details
- -Write bug reports, feature checklists and retest results
- -Propose scenarios for automated tests and improvements to UX, security and the release process
Requirements
- -2+ years of manual testing of web applications
- -API testing: Postman or similar, understanding of JWT, tokens and access rights
- -Ability to write test cases, checklists and bug reports that reproduce the bug on the first try
- -Understanding of how releases and regression testing work. Ability to explain what to automate and why
- -Interest in LLMs and RAG. Understanding of prompt injection is a plus
- -Russian and Uzbek required: the product answers in both languages
What we offer
- -Work at one of Uzbekistan's leading banks and a hybrid format
- -Career growth and learning with mentor support
- -A strong AI team, conferences and meetups
- -Competitive salary - discussed at the interview
