Description
We are building Nova, an AI assistant for bank employees. It is already in use, with chat, knowledge-base search, and document and speech recognition. You will set up the development process from sprint planning to demo, and drive tasks to results, even when the blocker sits outside the team.
If bringing order to a live product excites you, this job is yours. If you are looking for a well-oiled process that just needs managing, this isn't it yet.
Responsibilities
- -Run sprints: prepare planning, run cycles in Linear, track task statuses and report on results
- -Hold dailies and retros, prepare and run demos
- -Spot stuck tasks before anyone asks about them and find out what is blocking them
- -Clear blockers outside the team: access, answers from InfoSec and IT, data from departments. This is a big part of the job
- -Run the intake of tasks from the bank's departments, from interviews to pilot
- -Send the CTO regular status updates: what moved, what stalled and where a CTO decision is needed
Requirements
- -Project management experience in a team building AI products, and an understanding of what IT product development involves
- -Daily work with AI tools: you use them yourself, not just manage the people who build them
- -Understanding of code review, testing, releases and technical debt
- -Experience in a large organization with long approval chains (bank, telecom, state company). The ability to get answers from adjacent departments rather than wait for them
- -Experience running a tracker as a working tool: Linear, Jira or similar
- -Russian and Uzbek required, conversational English
