TIIF-2026 concludes in Tashkent: Uzbekistan attracted USD 123 billion in investments over 5 years

From June 16 to 18, 2026, Tashkent hosted the 5th anniversary Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF-2026). Held under the theme "Investment Resilience: New Frontiers, New Partnerships", the forum once again reaffirmed its status as the country's main investment platform and one of the largest business events in Central Asia.

  • 3,423 foreign delegates from 100 countries;
  • More than 8,300 registered participants;
  • 372 representatives of international organizations and banks;
  • The number of forum events increased from 36 to 79;
  • The combined assets of participating companies reached USD 42 trillion - nearly 38% of global GDP;
  • The forum was opened by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the presence of Albania's President Bajram Begaj, prime ministers and senior officials from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Malaysia, and Tajikistan.

🎯 Headline announcement - Tashkent International Financial Centre

At the grand opening, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced plans to establish the Tashkent International Financial Centre, which will operate under a special legal regime based on English common law principles. The initiative aims to strengthen legal protections for investors, expand capital markets, and accelerate industrial development.

  • A joint US-Uzbekistan Investment Platform was launched to advance cooperation in energy, infrastructure, critical minerals, and advanced manufacturing;
  • The Uzbekistan-South Korea Business Forum saw the signing of a trilateral memorandum of understanding for the development of the pharmaceutical industry;
  • On June 18, Uzbekistan and Iraq established a Joint Business Council and held its first meeting;
  • The forum was covered by 209 foreign journalists from 123 editorial offices across 41 countries - nearly doubling last year's pool.

The anniversary forum once again reaffirmed Uzbekistan's status as a leading investment hub in Central Asia and elevated the country's integration into global value chains to a new stage.
