Artificial Intelligence becomes a driver of Uzbekistan's economy

Uzsanoatqurilishbank (SQB) hosted an international conference in Tashkent: "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation: A New Stage in Uzbekistan's Economic Development".
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has set priority tasks for developing AI technologies and embedding them across the economy and social sectors. The reforms in this direction are crucial for shaping a digital economy and securing innovation-led growth.
The event focused on bringing AI technologies into the real economy, accelerating digital transformation, and lifting cooperation between government, business and academia to a new level. Representatives of academia, government and the IT industry shared a single stage as the country's main AI drivers.
Speakers included Sh. Ayupov (President, Academy of Sciences) on priority directions in fundamental and applied science; O. Pekos (First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies) on digital-economy and AI infrastructure; A. Abdullaev (Director, Centre for Digital Education and AI Development) on AI training and education-system transformation; and M. Muksinova (Deputy CEO, IT Park Uzbekistan) on the IT ecosystem and export-oriented digital businesses.
As a practical outcome, SQB presented its "AI Advisor" platform - designed to support entrepreneurship by analysing citizens' business ideas, assessing profitability and shaping financing options.
